Sotheby's launches specialist family office division for billionaire clients

The UK arm of upmarket estate agents Sotheby’s International Realty has launched a specialist family office business to provide the world’s richest dynasties with wealth and investment advice as well as access to trophy real assets such as fine art, jewelry and classic cars. The division, called The Family Office, will serve as a “one stop shop” point of contact for ultra high net worth clients for all Sotheby’s services, including its auction house. It has been founded by Marcus O’ Brien, best known for the sale of a £225 million mansion at 2-8a Rutland Gate in Knightsbridge, claimed to be the most expensive house ever sold in the UK.
