The spike in foreign migrants applying for Skilled Worker visas has been caused by confusion around the terminology, a watchdog has found. The National Audit Office (NAO) revealed on Tuesday that thousands more migrants have potentially claimed asylum in Britain. The number of claims has risen from 53 in 2022 to 5,300 in the first 10 months of 2024.
